Fall is Near!
Check us out as we move into the new fall season. New to us are Southern Scratch, B&G Farms and Pearl Mill Farms, these good folks along with all our other growers you have come to know and love, make us so proud of Oglethorpe Fresh and the work we are doing in Oglethorpe County. Music starts this Friday night with Dodd Ferrelle as our guest musician, good food, good fellowship and good music are always a part of potluck and music, so plan to join us this season. We are in Mon-Sat 10-5 and Sunday 2-5 offering locally grown, locally made, history, music, music lessons, pecan cracking, custom framing and Oglethorpe Fresh Cuts. Hope to see you soon. Linda

We are still at it - carrots anyone?
Don’t forget to place your order with Oglethorpe.locallygrown.net before Tuesday evening. This allows for a convenient pick-up at Oglethorpe Fresh Co-op. 111 South Platt Street, Lexington, GA on Wednesday afternoons. Where you will find folks who live here, work here and care so much for the revitalization of our community. Thanks to the growers that post and work hard to make locallygrown.net work and thank you to you all who order and help keep it going. We are carrying B&G Stables line of pasture raised pork products and Jersey Fresh Raw Milk for pet consumption at the Co-op as well. Local farmers keeping it real. Thank you and have a great week.
We are in the home stretch
Don’t forget to take a look at our locallygrown site. We are nearing the end of tomato season, so you want to get them while you can. I am making a smoothie each morning using the local kales and carrots and potatoes with grassfed beef or some of our new growers pork and chicken (all pasture raised) makes for some wonderful grilling or crock pot. We want to and need to hear from you, what we can do to keep growing and going, so please take the time to look us over, order and come in and see us in Lexington, GA Mon-Sat 10-5 (Summer Saturday’s we are in at 9) and Sunday’s 2-5. We appreciate your interest and support for local producers and growers.
Mid Summer Madness
It has been a wonderful summer so far with more to come. Check out all the lovely locally grown items this week and each week from our Oglethorpe Area Growers. It is so exciting what is happening in Oglethorpe County and at Oglethorpe Fresh. Tomatoes are awesome this year with good heirloom variety, flowers, beef, plants and more to help you with a rich summer’s end and looking to the fall. Some really yummy local produce at your finger tips with Oglethorpe.locallygrown.net. Check out this weeks offerings. Quick reminder to our Oglethorpe Locally Friends: market opened at 6:00 pm, Sunday, July 5 for Wednesday, July 8 pick-up. Wednesday pick-up day are quite lively from 4-7pm with extras from the growers. Come meet the grower and check out the rest of all that is Oglethorpe Fresh, 111 South Platt Street. Tell a friend and we hope to see you there.

Oglethorpe Fresh Heritage Day and 2015 Locally Grown
Hope this finds you doing well and looking forward to Spring. Please come join us next Saturday, March 28 at Oglethorpe Fresh in Historic Lexington for our 2nd annual Heritage Day. We have activities scheduled 11-3 and music 3-5. Oglethorpe County 4-H, Bee Club, Friends of the Library, UGA Master Gardeners, Good Roots, some of our Oglethorpe Fresh Locally Grown Growers, Local Historians, and more will be on hand to usher in our 6th Season of providing a place to come for locally grown/locally made, good music and good fellowship.
